Christian Education for Children
Sunday Morning Christian Education
A solid foundation is generally recognized as the key to success to most everything in life, and it is most assuredly true when it comes to the Christian life. Children’s classes nurture your child’s relationships with God through lessons that introduce the child to the love and example of Jesus. Every Sunday children preschool through grade 8 participate in lessons that share a common focus drawn from the lectionary readings for the day. Because all age levels explore at least one common Bible reading each week, family members can discuss their discoveries together at home. In addition, children have the opportunity to explore the scriptures used in the Sunday liturgy and week by week, participate in the rhythms that guide the Church year—Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter and Pentecost. In this Episcopal based curriculum, Living the Good News, the lessons are fun and interactive, filled with art, drama, music, and lots of fellowship designed to prepare your children for the church service.
