Christian Education and Bible Study for Adults

Sunday Morning Adult Christian Education

Adults gather in the parish hall each Sunday morning from 9:30-10:15 for a special interest offering.  The parish clergy and others lead classes on several different themes throughout the year such as book study, Bible study and the faith and history of the Episcopal Church, and topics following the liturgical year.  Sometimes adults just want to enjoy a cup of coffee and discussion of more contemporary issues such as God’s presence in the state of local and world events today.

Monday Morning Men’s Bible Study

All men of the parish are invited to meet for fellowship and Bible discussion each Monday morning, 6:45-7:45 AM, in the vestry room. Group leader David Simmons says: “Our routine is to read 6-8 chapters of our current book. I may relay some points of discussion I gleaned from the commentary. All are encouraged to comment on anything that strikes them. Our liveliest discussions so far have related to Paul's epistles during his travels. The universality and relevance of his writings as they relate to our lives today are striking.” The group has no attendance requirement and no homework. Men are welcome to come when they can and leave early if necessary. Don’t miss this opportunity to find out how special small group study and worship can be.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study

On Wednesday mornings there is a Holy Eucharist and healing service held at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel, followed by the Wednesday morning Bible study group which meets at 11:00 a.m. in the Vestry room.  This Bible study is open to everyone and at present we are studying the Old Testament.
